If our Offense was not an issue clearly last season  of 8-5, and our OL was great now missing 5 Starters from it this season (3 OL, TE, FB all Starters on OL last season), then why were we # 65 in Rushing and # 53 on Converting 3rd Downs, sending our # 100 Special Teams and poor secondary play Defense back out there to bail the failed offense out ?

Overreacting to stats in a scrimmage

Priceless

I'd tell you what I know but t would not do any good. The doom and gloom crowd will never change

Why no stats on Leonard Floyd??????????????????????????

We had 13 sacks in this scrimmage. Granted it's only touching the QB and not bringing him down, but most of the time in a game if you can get close enough to the QB to touch him, you're close enough to bring him down. I'll take it. We are going to have a ferocious pass rush this year. I don't see anybody being able to block Georgia's front this season. Lorenzo Carter might make a name for himself in his freshman year.

 Offensive Line :

23 times the Offense was tackled behind the line of scrimmage & 2 Fumbles.

Looks like there is a lot of passing going on.

@DawgGoneIt Hey, we agree on something. That Carter is going to abuse some offenses.

@ThomasBrownUGA Great insight oh genius. Apparently you've never played the game..Defense almost ALWAYS starts off in the year ahead of Offense.  Realizing you are a troll and not a Dawg fan I don't expect that you really understand the game, but it's a bit early to start trying to Troll people into a frenzy about "OL problems".  But hey, for Trolls like you and your Techie buddies I suppose it's never too early so "commence to hating"...envy always sounds like music to my ears!

@ThomasBrownUGA Is that a product of a defense that could be dominant? Or an offense that has digressed? We shall see. Scrimmages are always a double-edged sword. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

@ThomasBrownUGA Yes i pointed that out on the other blog. Is this not noticed by anyone but you, me and R. Hall?

What other blog ?  A pay for information otherwise free on Internet, blog ?

The coaching staff can TRY to keep us like mushrooms, but when they provide this level of detail, it's just too easy to see right through it.

# 53 on 3rd Down Conversions last season and that with a 5th year Senior QB All-Time SEC leader although never 1st or 2nd Team All-America by ANYONE and Todd Gurley II, and with 3 Offensive Linemen now Graduated and with the Blocking Tight End we DID NOT THROW THE FOOTBALL TO LAST SEASON who also graduated

# 65 Rushing

We're NOT a very effective offense

The stats provided were intended to paint a rosy picture, but it all too obvious the offensive line did NOT get the job done.

Our QB floats the ball all passes, no zip.  He's slow afoot and prone to fumble.  Our RB Coach is a former punt returner and wide receiver, although his Daddy one of my All-Time Favorite Best Bulldogs' Running Back, and he has failed to teach his Running Backs the 3-points on the ball to secure the ball running.  Todd Gurley II knows it but isn't the coach to teach the others - none of whom know it.

I see, too, again, no stats of punt returns, nor kick-off returns AGAIN.  So, again, too, we're continuing to NOT PRACTICE special teams, without a coach to TELL Mark Richt we just have to practice our # 100 Special Teams in the nation.

We're not a well-coached football team, as is obvious from our 54-26 to 72-9 Alabama, for example.

Then, we release a stat sheet designed to BRAG about the Offense, when the offense fails to make 1st downs, and relies upon the Defense to bail out the Offense, whilst we remain satisfied with walk-ons playing Special Teams to have feel good stories about players who do not play on offense nor defense.

Our staff should make this all crystal clear, that we need to Motivate the disarray Offensive Line to make 3rd Downs to not send the defense right back out there, while we send our Special Teams out there we don't even try to make hay with on Special Teams on Punts and Kick-Offs - like our Opponents do against us.

9-5 or 9-4 is what this program is averaging the latest 6-year period, and the 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era after this season, will show yet again for 2014, another exactly the same average the entire 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era.

We brag on them and make them out as great off-season, hide the facts, lie, ignore the obvious points of emphasis, and fail to motivate the players to obey the rules on and off the field.

We're poorly coached as Flat Tire points out.

@ThomasBrownUGA and Mckenzie  returned a KO for a TD,   someone working on special teams, what an idiot

@ThomasBrownUGA another idiotic post  from Thomas  brown, The offense has  been one of the best in the  conference and  the  country the last  2  seasons. Were you at practice? Special teams  are  worked on consistently. You are  the largest  know  nothing on football that posts on these  blogs.

TrueDawg1986
TrueDawg1986

@ThomasBrownUGA You are sooooo right...our offense was horrible ranked #22 in ALL OF FBS in scoring (which, contrary to your ignorance, is what an offense is ultimately judged on)...and #3 in scoring in the SEC...less than 1.5 pts per game from Bama and less than 3pts per game under Awbarn.  So if you are really going to waste so much time and Troll venom writing a book that no one really reads (I stopped at the ignorance of line 4)...at least try to demonstrate some shred of knowledge of the game.  Keep hating though Troll...envy is music to my ears!

@ThomasBrownUGA Isaiah McKenzie had a kick off return for a touchdown so apparently they were working on special teams Tommy

@gtcaryd

Big plays is not the issue with our Offense, but not converting on 3rd Downs, turning to the Defense and cough, cough Special Teams, to rely on them bailing the failed offense, out.  We wear out our special teams and defense # 53 nationally in 3rd Down Conversions.  Yet, we have plenty of talent.  So, I see it as coaching.

TrueDawg1986
TrueDawg1986

@ThomasBrownUGA @gtcaryd Clearly "offense was our issue" last year....LMAO....#3 in the SEC in scoring per game and less than 3 points behind the #1...get a grip on something other than your appendage.
