MONDAY MORNING REWIND

1. In retrospect, it looks like all N.C. State did was make Georgia’s softball team mad.

The Bulldogs, a No. 4 national seed, lost to the Wolfpack 5-4 on Saturday in the NCAA Athens Regional. That dropped them into loser’s bracket and put them in a situation in which they’d face elimination in three consecutive games.

Rewind: UGA teams bring home championship trophies

MONDAY MORNING REWIND

ATHENS – It was a productive weekend for UGA athletics when it comes to collecting hardware.

The Bulldogs claimed two championships over the weekend. The women’s tennis team completed an impressive run through the SEC tournament with a win over top-seeded and No. 3-ranked Alabama in the finals on Sunday to claim that title. Meanwhile, the equestrian team won its NCEA national championship when it defeated South Carolina in Waco, Texas.
