1. Georgia went into the Troy game this past Saturday with a plan of throwing the ball around a little more. But that didn’t happen. The Bulldogs ended up rushing for 367 yards on 39 attempts, or 64 percent of the time. That was up from 62 percent in the previous two games.

Coach Mark Richt said that trend had more to do with opportunity than philosophy.

1. In retrospect, it looks like all N.C. State did was make Georgia’s softball team mad.

The Bulldogs, a No. 4 national seed, lost to the Wolfpack 5-4 on Saturday in the NCAA Athens Regional. That dropped them into loser’s bracket and put them in a situation in which they’d face elimination in three consecutive games.

Ten@10: Murray’s Pro Day, Georgia’s G-Day, Bubba’s big day

1. I talked to quarterback Aaron Murray on Monday about his big debut as a professional in UGA’s Pro Day on Wednesday morning. Here’s a link to the story that will run in Wednesday’s newspaper.

Murray has already turned some heads with his recovery from last November’s knee surgery. Just 4 1/2 months since having ACL reconstruction surgery, Murray says he is fully recovered and will prove it to NFL executives and scouts Wednesday morning.
