Q&A WITH GEORGIA’S JEREMY PRUITT
Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt finally talked to reporters after Tuesday’s practice. This is significant because the Bulldogs’ first-year defensive chief hadn’t “met the press” since Aug. 15 and didn’t stick around after the Bulldogs’ 45-21 win over Clemson to talk about the game this past Saturday. He wanted to meet instead with recruits.
So not knowing if and when we might get the Georgia’s mercurial assistant coach again, I thought I’d just share the entire exchange I had with him (before peeling off to talk to some other coaches) during that interview opportunity.

MONDAY MORNING REWIND
1. It’s not going to lessen any of the negative publicity being directed at the Georgia football program at the moment, but redshirt freshman Davin Bellamy has handled his recent arrest for DUI about as well as anyone could ask.
Not long after bonding out of Athens-Clarke County Jail following his early Saturday morning arrest, Bellamy sent out a message on his Twitter account apologizing to his teammates, coaches and fans for his poor judgment and asking for a chance to earn back their trust. ATHENS – OK, I’ll be filing a more comprehensive report on Georgia’s second scrimmage of the spring practice. All or parts of it will be posted on AJC.com and MyAJC.com a little later and, of course, you can read the whole thing in the Sports section of the Sunday newspaper.
But here’s a quick rundown and a couple of videos to watch to get an idea of what happened:
The offense played much, much better than it did last week, particularly running the football.
