MONDAY MORNING REWIND
1. In retrospect, it looks like all N.C. State did was make Georgia’s softball team mad.
The Bulldogs, a No. 4 national seed, lost to the Wolfpack 5-4 on Saturday in the NCAA Athens Regional. That dropped them into loser’s bracket and put them in a situation in which they’d face elimination in three consecutive games.

ATHENS – Thanks to a grand-slam-highlighted, series-clinching win over No. 7 South Carolina on Sunday, the Georgia baseball team is in position to make it back into the SEC Tournament. But there remains work to be done.
Daniel Nichols hit a grand-slam home run on Sunday to power the Bulldogs to a 5-3 win over the Gamecocks on Sunday. It game Georgia its first series win over South Carolina since 2008.

ATHENS – After a long hiatus, “The Ten at 10″ is back. No fooling.
The Ten is an aggregation blog that was developed to keep Georgia Bulldogs’ fans informed about everything that’s going on in UGA athletics during the warm months. UPDATE: Georgia baseball’s season opener against Georgia Southern scheduled for Friday night has been postponed until noon Saturday and will be the first game of a double-header. Field conditions are unplayable. . . . Also, the Gym Dogs’ home meet against Missouri scheduled for Friday night has been canceled due to travel issues for the Tigers. . . .
